Gems of the Georgi on the Battenkill Returns
The Georgi opens the 2008
season on May 24 and 25 with the annual art show
titled "Gems of the Georgi" which will run until June
30th.
This year's show will feature works by Leslie
Peck, Christopher Pierce, Jeff Duxbury, Elizabeth Cockey,
Harry Orlyk, Brian Sweetland, Patti Zeigler, Stuart
Eichel, George Van Hook, Craig Barnes, Mike Williams
and Will Moses.
The public is invited to come browse, purchase
paintings, picnic along the river and enjoy the spring
gardens.
The Gems of the Georgi is the season's first fund
raiser and a donation of $20.00 will be
appreciated. A portion of the art sales will also
benefit the Georgi.
There will be wine, cold beverages, and hors d'oeuvres
served at the reception on Saturday the 24 from 4 - 7 pm giving everyone the
opportunity to meet the artists.
This is a good opportunity for families
to take the scenic ride to Shushan, NY for a
picnic on the Battenkill and an opportunity to meet
some of the area's most talented artists.
